Presented by R. Mark Bortner
Della Costa & Neville, P.A.
In 1987, Mark Bortner graduated from Gibbs High School. In 1991, he received his B.A. in International Affairs from the University of South Florida (Tampa) and, in 1996, earned his J.D. from the University of Miami. In August, 2013, Mark joined Della Costa & Neville; however, he has known John, David and Richard for many years. For 16 years prior to joining Della Costa & Neville, Mark worked with a small St. Petersburg law firm, where he was engaged in the trenches of business and employment litigation. During this time, he handled a wide variety of disputes and trials concerning non-compete agreements, contract interpretation, fraud, conversion, civil theft, unjust enrichment, trademarks, defamation, minimum wage and overtime, unpaid commissions, wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination. Mark’s work included all aspects of a dispute, from pre-litigation strategy and negotiations, to litigation and mediation, to post-trial motion practice, and even to appeals, all of which was performed in Florida State and Federal Courts. Mark is a member of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
